My name is Luca Zecchini and I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), where I previously completed my PhD program with Prof. Sonia Bergamaschi and Prof. Giovanni Simonini as advisors. During my PhD I spent two visiting periods at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam (Germany) to carry out my research activities under the supervision of Prof. Felix Naumann.

My research is mainly focused on big data integration, with a special interest in the tasks of entity resolution, data preparation, and dataset discovery. My main research outcomes so far are:

Previously, I obtained my bachelor's and master's degrees in computer engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2017 and 2020, respectively. I was the runner-up at the SIGMOD 2020 Programming Contest and I took part in the organization of the 2021 and 2022 editions.
